 Day 2
Another beautiful day!

ROUTE: Old Orchard Beach ME to Portsmouth NH DISTANCE: 58 Miles WINDS: Light early, then southerly in the afternoon.  Pesky headwinds late.
WEATHER: Sunny and cool...37 low, 57 high TERRAIN: Mostly flat, rolling at the end TOTAL CLIMBING: 1200 feet or so
DID I SAY THAT?:  "Flying out here, I met someone who was trying to get out of the city...she was thinking about moving to Montana.  Now that's a bit drastic don't you think?  She was an interior designer...she specialized in closets.  That may be a career in the city, but I'm not sure it will catch on in Montana...unless the cowboys need to have an organizer for their boots, guns, and fishing poles." DAILY DUH:  I did a good one today...just being a helpful tour leader.  Today we rode by George Bush's mansion in Kennebunkport and everyone was anxious to see the place.  I got out front and positioned myself to stop the riders to see George's house.  After I got everyone stopped, I went forward to position myself to get a good photo of them riding by.  I got just around the corner and low and behold, I found the REAL George Bush's house.  I sent Karen back to tell them I'd made a boo boo and when she got back, she said the riders had already taken a hundred photos of Elmer Snigolopalos' house.  They had set up a tripod and everything.  Sorry to disappoint everyone, but now they should have known all the proper camera settings to take photos of the real attraction.

DAILY DIGITAL DELIGHTS

Dan, Tifany, and Marian (the ones wearing the goofy bibs), became the 3 Lobsterteers...all for one, one for all.

Not sure if the lighthouse is doing it's job...or was I just a victim of a ridiculously quick low tide.

That's just like a man...he can't figure out whether he wants to fish or harvest the crop.

Color in New Hampshire is good too.

This made a great photo, but George's real house was around the next corner.

OK, find the one who lives in the north country?

I couldn't resist a photo of a camera taking a photo.

We had a varied day today...ocean, beach, lighthouses, and still had a few nice colorful trees to admire.

We were really impressed with how low the tide was today...in this inlet, the water was barely up to the bottom of the boats.

Georges's House

This is a photo of George's house, but due to security regulations, I'm not allowed to post it.
