Welcome to my photo album with the Montgomery Bicycle Club

The photos in this section are of members of the Montgomery Bicycle Club.  Some are from Bike Ed courses I've taught sponsored by the club, and some are from maintenance clinics I've held at my garage/shop.  If you are in the area and are interested in attending LAB's Bike Ed course or one of my maintenance clinics, just drop me a line for the next offering.

Our January maintenance classes included servicing bottom bracket.  One objective is not to have any parts left over when we put it all back together.

Hank and Joe watch intently as Chris adjusted a rear derailleur.  I thought they were doing well until I heard someone ask, "Is that screw on the floor the one you were adjusting?"

Roger and Eugene gave Roger's drivetrain a fine tuning.  "After I turn this screw, ask Mike to come over here and see if he can tell me what I did."

Kevin and Rick work intently on making this wheel round.  We learned the importance of equal spoke tension all around the wheel.  Rick assured me he had everything under control...what do you think Kevin?

Sam and Arthur insure Billy's bottom bracket shell is completely clean before replacing the bearing cups.

John was sure this bike had pedals when he started.

"Greg, are you sure this is going to look like a wheel when we finish?"  "Yep...just as soon as I get all these wirey thingees through the holes."

The classes include demos before hands on..."this spring is what makes a derailleur work."  Bill is smiling because he can spell derailleur.

This is where it all happens...A man's home is his castle, but a man's garage is his sanctuary.  In my case, it's also my bike shop.

If you flip this little puppy, the whatchamaflig will move this way causing the whatchamacallits to flip between the pointy things.  I never try to get too technical in my clinics.
