FINAL THOUGHTS

I hope this article has been helpful in your planning your trip across the country.  I feel that this article will grow with time as I either think of something that I’ve left out or as I get feedback from viewers.  So you might check back in time to see if there are any changes.  Feel free to send me your thoughts about the subject.  You can email me at bamacyclist@aol.com

It's like trying to describe a beautiful sunset, no matter how hard I try I cannot fully describe how you will feel when you complete the ride and dip your wheels in the Atlantic Ocean after over 3000 miles of being on a bicycle seat.  I get emails everyday from people who rode with us telling me that it was a life changing experience and that it was one of their most significant lifetime accomplishments.  So the next time someone says that you are crazy to even think about riding your bike across the US, just tell them that they can't imagine what they are missing for not doing it themselves.  There's no better way to see this great country of ours than from the seat of a bicycle.  You will absorb the country through all of your senses as you pedal through majestic mountains, wide open plains, breadbasket farmland, and small communities throughout the US.  I salute you for your sense of adventure and motivation to do something that many would think is well beyond the norm.  Good luck and God's speed on your journey.  You'll never forget it.

Check out America by Bicycle

As one final thought, I’d be remising if I didn’t blow our horn just a little.  The company I ride with is America by Bicycle.  You can find their ads in Bicycling Magazine and other bicycling publications.  You can also contact them at 1-888-797-7057 or email at abbike@aol.com.  I think they do things pretty well.  Check them out when you are considering a company.  They give full customer support on the road and have years of experience in helping people fulfill their dream of crossing the country on a bicycle.  I would be happy to talk to you about how they do business anytime or give you some references.  Just email me anytime.  I look forward to seeing you on the road someday.  Good luck in planning your adventure of a lifetime.
