Ride the East

The east coast ride offers a challenging ride through the eastern countryside.  As diverse as a cross country ride, the first week is full of strenuous climbs and beautiful vistas of rolling terrain...through historical battlefields and the nations capitol.  The last portion is dead flat through the south.  The photos should show the diverse views we encountered along the way.

The road to Pottstown is so narrow, 2 bikes can hardly pass.  Beautiful cycling road.

 

The rolling farmland on the way to Lancaster is a bicycle Mecca.  Amish buggies are as prevalent as cars.

 

Silos and barns dot the Pennsylvania countryside.
 

This is a land where the old ways meet modern times.
