Illinois has many bike paths that get us off the highways.  This one bypasses Clinton MO.

The road along the "Lazy River."  In Wisconsin the river isn't as wide as in Mississippi.

We don't always ride along the river.  Sometimes we enjoy the interior countryside.

It's all downhill from Minneapolis to New Orleans...at least that's what most people think when they show up. But now that we go from south to north, we'll ask them again.

The lonely road...Natchez Trace provides scenic bridges and quiet riding.  No commercial traffic...a riding mecca.

The pause that refreshes.  Unfortunately, the one calorie has already been taken.

Cotton is king in the south.

Rolling farmland...a sign of the breadbasket.  How many silos can you see at any one time?

Beautiful farm lots abound throughout Wisconsin and Illinois.
