![]() The day into Dubois along the Grand Tetons is probably the most picturesque day you can imagine . |
Unless you count the day before when we ride into Jackson...starkly different, but awesome scenery.
![]() Hard to get this many of them all together at the same time, but they were stopping to take photos so I just rounded them all up. |
The long miles of lonely road in South Dakota lend themselves to fast pace lines to pass the miles in quick order...if you can hang on, it's a hoot to breeze along in the mid 20s.
![]() But sometimes Duane took them on side trips off the route sheet...riding with him was like a box of chocolates...you never really knew what was coming next. |

Spooky, but interesting...the walk through the tunnels on the Sparta Elroy Trail.
![]() We could be in Michigan or France...who cares? The sunflowers were shining on this day. |
![]() John Day wasn't an easy day...120 miles and lots of climbing but each effort was rewarded with a breathtaking descent. |
![]() In 10 miles, we'll be down there! |
![]() Emotions were high as the ride finished at Wallis Sands Beach...have we really been out here 50 days? |
A side trip at Twin Falls was rewarded with views of the gorge that cannot be described with words.
