Montgomery AL Local Routes

[Montgomery Co] [Autauga Co] [Elmore Co] [Lowndes Co] [Bullock Co]

So you want to know where to ride around the Montgomery Area?  You've come to the right place!  Welcome to my routes page.  I’ve been getting calls for years about where the best places are to ride around Montgomery and the surrounding area so I thought I'd include my favorite places to ride on my web site...for now.   Someday I hope to publish a book with rides around central Alabama.

Here I've researched over 30 rides and I've been able to include maps with most of the routes.  Just select the county link above and then peruse through the various routes in that county.  When you find one you like, just click the link to the route description, print it, and then click the link to the map (It's printable too!).  Then go ride it!

You won't hurt my feelings at all if you don't ride the routes exactly as published.  I've seldom ridden it exactly as I mapped it out either.  But I've tried to include a wide variety of roads that are suitable to ride and you can go exploring anytime using the maps I've included.   Knock yourself out!  If you see a road that looks inviting and you can find it on the map, go for it.  All solid lines on the map are paved roads.  You’ll find directions to the start locations and a brief overview of the ride on each route description.  If you have any questions about any of the rides, find any errors in the routing, or know of a ride you'd like me to include, just email me and I'll respond ASAP.

Disclaimer:  Every effort has been made to make the information presented herein accurate and current.  However, traffic situations change, stores close, street names may have changed, and even new roads may have been laid out since these routes were researched.

Furthermore, Bicycling activities involve risks and dangers that are the sole responsibility of each rider.  Participants should always consider their riding skills and abilities when selecting a route.  Author accepts no responsibility for any personal injuries, death, and/or property damage caused or sustained by anyone engaged in activities on any of these routes.  Always wear a helmet when engaged in any cycling activities.

Some of the start locations are stores or churches.  Don’t forget to ask permission to park before you ride off into the wild blue yonder.  It will help keep us on good terms with the local merchants.  I’ve never been turned down with a parking request. Have fun.
