Terrain: Mostly flat, but
has gentle rollers after the airport and 1 good hill on the return route Distance: 39/45 Miles Level: Easy to intermediate These rides are mainly
for people at Maxwell who are riding from the base and are tired of riding
around the flight line. If you don't have access to the base, I suggest
driving out Old Selma Road to any little store along the route and park
there. Then pick up the route from there and adjust the mileage. This is a pretty tame
route as far as terrain is concerned. You do have 1 major hill on the return
but most of the ride is in flat to gentle rolling terrain. Caution to be
observed when riding on US 80. It’s 4 lane so you have plenty of room for the
mile or so you’ll be on it. Caution, heavy traffic during rush hour makes
getting to Old Selma a task for the experienced. This is two routes. The routes split at CR 32 and come together on CR 37. |

Go out the Bell street gate to the stop light. Go Right on Bell Street. The mileage starts at the light. You can go out the Kelly Street Gate if it’s open and turn right. You’ll be at 0.8 on the route distance. I’m using the Bell street gate because it’s open all the time. |
